Default Introductions

Things have been relatively quiet here for Hostile Stars, since the initial release of the rules. However, that is about to change. I am currently putting together the next version of the core rules, and would like to get momentum regarding discussion and development for the rules from you guys.

I therefore thought that it would be a good idea to have a short introduction thread, for anyone who would like to be involved with this process, so that I can know a bit about who you are, and where you are coming from in a wargame perspective. I have found this useful in the past, as it allows me to put comments and feedback into more context.

So, I will start....

I am Iain, lead developer for Hostile Stars from DRM. I have been wargaming since 40K Rogue Trader, and pulled away from GW's core games gradually, firstly with Space Hulk, then various versions of Epic. I was a bit player of Battlefleet Gothic, and I have been a significant supporter of Epic through third and now fourth edition.

I run the Tactical Wargames web site and forum, admin the Specialist Games forum, am co-writing the Tau force list for Epic Armageddon and was the initiator for Warp Rift, the BFG web-zine.

I have been a science fiction fan for pretty much my whole life. My biggest influences and experiences of space combat games include Battlefleet Gothic, Babylon 5 Wars, and Full Thrust.

Hello
My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die....
Sorry My name is Brandon. I live in Kansas, USA! I have been wargaming since 40K Rogue Trader. I have played 2nd ed. 3rd ed. 40K as well and got away from 40k with the release of 4th ed. I don't get to game much not many people in my area that play wargames. I have played CAV, Battletech, Epic (both Armageddon and net epic.) Gothic, I even bought Babylon 5 acall to arms. Recently I picked up Warmaster and love the game. picked up Mordhiem as well. I found Seeds of War a few years ago, before it was Seeds of War. I have played it a few times by myself. I love Scifi and fantasy. I have been looking for a set of games where I can play a starship battle followed by a planetary landing. I have played just one game of Hostile Stars, but was overwlemed by the math.
I do not know how much Help I will be. Being by myself, but I will interject my 2 cents worth as often as I can.
