DRM's Competition for the Alien Race

Some of you may already know that we had a competition running at Salute this year which involved the Alien race.


The Competition:
The Alien race hasnt been given a name as yet, and the units themselves lack any proper name.

So we want people to come up with suggestsions for both.

Although suggestions for the units are welcome the competition is for the race name.

All entries to be made by 12 noon 30th June

The Prize:
We are offering a £25 selection of alien blisters for the winner.

All entires either post them here or send them to me at the drm@darkrealmminiatures.com address.

The Winner will be chosen by the design team

and other ideas along a Hive motiv

Special large units could be derivitives of the Queen, competiters of the Queen who failed etc.

Anyway is just an idea

Ok, some of those were a bit silly.

It might also be cool to do a NATO style naming convention. All walking beasts star with W. Flyers F. Big critters B. Command critters C and so forth.

That may work especially well if the bugs have no way to communicate with the more humanoid races, and are indeed a big hive entity.

Race name: The Blight.

Due to the fact I could do with more time that was initially given for this competition, I will extend this till 15th June. That should give me the time to do what I need to do and get the word out to others as well.
